Help when working with the GMJ News programme
-
To install GMJ group programmes, you must download them to your
telephone. To learn how to do this, visit the
Programme download
page.
-
To work successfully with the
program you must have mobile internet access activated.
See the operator’s documentation that
came with your mobile telephone or visit your operator’s Website
for more information on this topic.
-
When you start the programme, it automatically downloads a list
of channels broken down by column headings.
Navigating over the GMJ information portal
-
To select a column heading, use the left/right navigation
buttons or the buttons numbered 4 or 6.
-
To select a channel in a column heading, use the up/down
navigation buttons or the buttons numbered 8 or 2.
-
To download the channel’s news, use the central navigation
button or the button numbered 5.
-
To select news from the list, use the left/right navigation
buttons or the buttons numbered 4 or 6. The number of the news
will be visible in the heading, such as “3/12”, corresponding to
news item 3 of 12.
-
To scroll the news text, use the up/down navigation buttons or
the buttons numbered 8 or 2.
-
“More” button: Certain news items have a continuation. This is
very convenient because it enables you to choose to read these
news items in greater detail. This is visible from the dots at
the end of the text and the “More” menu that appears. Some
telephones can display the “More” button within the Options
menu.
-
News is downloaded by pages. Each page contains 12 news items by
default.
You can also download previous pages. To turn pages, use buttons
3 and 9 or 7 and 9. The page number is visible in the heading
under the “#” symbol, such as “#2” for page 2. You can set the
number of news items per page in the programme settings.

Type of download and subsequent reading of the news
-
Online. Enables you to download news items individually under
each subsection whenever necessary. This requires frequent
access by the GMJ programme on your telephone to the news
server.
-
Offline. Enables you to download news from all marked sections
just once and then read them without accessing the GMJ server.
This is convenient, for example, if you are viewing information
on the Metro, where there is no coverage. You can download the
latest information in the morning in a compressed block within
1-2 minutes. Then during the day you can then view this
information on your mobile without accessing the GMJ server.
