Partner programme

In October 2006, GMJ launched the Regional GMJ project. The overall aim of the project is to provide people living in the cities of Russia information on their region.

The GMJ regional projects are built on the basis of partnership with the major local press (individual journalists are invited to run channels on any subjects and to run channels in the federal publication of GMJ; new columns are welcome). Under this partnership, GMJ provides one of the largest information platforms in the Russian Internet on the mobile telephones of residents of Russia and the CIS. GMJ ensures marketing and technical support for regional projects, as well as provides all the required programmes and server space free of charge.

Cooperation with regional partners can develop in two directions:

1. Running the channel of one’s city in the Regions column of the GMJ federal publication

2. Launching a regional GMJ publication (such as GMJ Chelyabinsk)
